St. Stephen's Anglican Church, as a Parish, has been growing a Christian community in Belmont since 1906. The Church has a high commitment to supporting and nurturing parents as the best teachers of faith to children who will be the future members and leaders of the Church and community. In addition to developing cotemporary worship experiences, we support the ministry to parents with a Christian playgroup for toddlers and pre-kinders, St Stephen.s Boys. Club and Kids. Church programmes.
We affirm our own need as disciples with preparation for Baptism of adults and the parents of infants, Confirmation and Home Study Groups (House Churches) all designed to build strong relationship with God, with one another and to help others come to a relationship with God.
Families are the basic unit of community so we are committed to providing preparation for all couples who come to St Stephen.s to celebrate their wedding and begin their marriage.
